Transaction Advisors
In Africa, SMEs are typically challenged by an ‘investment readiness gap’ and require significant support to demonstrate a strong value proposition, management team, business and financial planning, and responsible business performance and capabilities required by Private Equity and Venture Capital funds. Transaction advisory services, including finance, legal, corporate governance, and E&S, are vital for preparing companies for investment as well as supporting post-investment performance. However, there are very few advisors that offer quality, affordable advisory, and investment preparedness in line with fund manager requirements.
Deal Source Africa is focused on improving alignment between transaction advisory services and investor requirements in these areas: 1) Transaction Advisor Mapping; 2) Tools and Capacity Building 3) Matchmaking & Networking Events. These activities are aimed at improving the availability of quality, affordable transaction advisory and investment preparedness in line with fund manager requirements.
Impact Investing Ghana (IIGh) in partnership with the Ghana Investment Support Programme funded by British International Investment (BII) developed this project to increase the capacity of Fund Managers and Transaction Advisors in Ghana. The focus of the program is to bring together the transaction advisors in Ghana and equip them to provide high–quality, affordable services in line with fund manager requirements.
